Laura supported me to accept myself. I had been struggling with my mental health, going round and round in circles stuck in a cycle of self-blame and thinking very negatively. Her perspective and her approach really helped me break some of those cycles. She would listen and interject with questions that made me think differently or question my own thought process. She would reassure me when I needed it. The seeking of reassurance can make you feel vulnerable but she never questions it or sees it as needy. No inner thought no matter how big or small phases her and each one of those thoughts she considers important. A huge thing for myself was thinking that my problems were big for me but to other people I would appear silly or trivial, not to Laura she understands people. Her energy is calming and nurturing. She has helped me in ways that cannot be described but by far the biggest is reminding me that I am worthy and judging myself gets in the way of seeing that.

Laura’s coaching session helped me to overcome feeling overwhelmed by leaving my HR job to open my small business.

2021 has been the toughest year mentally I have ever had in my life by a long stretch. I took the big decision to leave a solid corporate career route in a large multinational corporation and set out not only on my own, but in a completely different career.

Some days are dark, doubt creeps in, the grass all of a sudden appears greener in what I used to do. I find myself wasting sometimes a full day or days on having an unproductive thought process. That’s when I ring Laura. For me, she’s a cross between a therapist – helping my mental state and mental process when it goes rogue, but also as my coach, helping guide me from that phone call through the next few weeks bringing my attention back to things I didn’t even realise I had said to her, yet make total sense and are the reasons why I left my old career in the first place.

Also, because she has so much experience in marketing (her past career) and running a business herself I get free marketing tips and advice which is a bonus I didn’t expect to get! She’s give me loads of ideas and guidance and saved me money by helping to give me focus.

She is so good at what she does and I recommend anyone who feels a bit lost, or a bit doubtful in their decisions to just call her, even one phone call can save days of unproductivity.

Laura is always supportive, empathetic and enlightening. Never afraid to be honest but in a calm way that is productive but also soothing in hard times. Always guides rather than enforces opinion and someone that I will always go to when struggling with mental health issues, anxiety or at a crossroads when I’m unsure of my path. Laura is spiritual but grounded, always available to be on hand whether it’s just for a shoulder to cry on or some constructive advice.

I met Laura at a point in my career when I was feeling completely defeated. I’d had a couple of bad job moves in a row and was lacking confidence in my life choices. Laura helped me to identify that I’d been trying to operate in working environments that weren’t right for me – they lacked the structure and organisation I needed for me to really thrive.

Laura encouraged me to channel my process-oriented mind into implementing new systems at work and taking on a more managerial role. It was exciting to use my preferred working style to help things run more efficiently and see better results. Now I’m realigning my career goals to focus more on project management. I feel confident in my skill set and am optimistic about where this journey will take me!

At times it is difficult to see a clear route to my goals.  Chatting this through with Laura always produces a variety of options that help in the short, medium and long term.  It is wonderful to have Laura on a retainer to be able to call on her coaching skills any time.

Laura used to be my manager and one of the (many) things she’s really good at is building your confidence. She saw what I did best, encouraged me to do it and – importantly – believed in it too. And this helped me believe in myself. I think I had lost a bit of that, but Laura’s can-do spirit is infectious. I found her to be a positive force in exactly the right way.

I had to give a presentation about my artwork; the thought of standing up and talking in front of a group terrified me. I am absolutely not a public speaker. However Laura offered to help and gave me some wonderful guidance. Not only did she help me with the structure and delivery of my speech, she gave me the confidence that – I can do it – and in turn I enjoyed it! Laura’s positive attitude to a challenge is infectious and she certainly helped me to channel a different mindset when it comes to giving presentations.
